Expectations

Expectations for Students

Before we begin working together, it’s important to understand the discipline and risk awareness involved in learning to trade futures. These expectations are intended to encourage responsible participation in the educational program:

  • Risk Awareness: Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and do not rely on trading as a source of income while learning.
  • Start Small: When transitioning from simulation to live trading, consider beginning with minimal size and increasing exposure only when appropriate for your own circumstances and risk tolerance.
  • Discipline and Risk Management: Develop predetermined risk parameters and respect them. If you reach a personal daily loss limit, stepping away can help prevent emotional decision-making.
  • Open-Mindedness: Be willing to study the methodology, practice it, evaluate the concepts for yourself, and ultimately develop a trading process appropriate for your own objectives and risk tolerance.**

These expectations are designed to promote responsible learning, disciplined decision-making, and an understanding of the risks associated with futures trading.
